Third-Party Buyers

Jeffrey Jackson & Associates, PLLC represents third-party buyers who purchase homes at homeowners’ association sales, at mortgage foreclosure sales, or directly from a borrower in default before any foreclosure sale.  A third-party buyer has nearly all of the same rights to invalidate a dubious mortgage lien as the original borrower.  In fact, third-party buyers are in a much more equitable position than original borrowers when challenging mortgage assignments and endorsements filed in the property records.  Even if a lawsuit is ultimately unsuccessful in removing a mortgage lien from title, a lawsuit most often delays foreclosure during litigation allowing the third-party buyer to control the property with the right to collect rents.
