In many instances, it is possible to obtain an order from the District Court halting the eviction proceedings or enforcement of an eviction judgment pending the lawsuit to set-aside the foreclosure sale. It may also be possible to have the eviction court “abate” the eviction lawsuit pending litigation of the lawsuit to set-aside the sale.
